Dion Lee names new CEO with an eye on planned growth

Luxury label Dion Lee has appointed a new chief executive officer to position itself for its next phase of growth.

James Miller has been appointed to head the US fashion house. He comes from The Collected Group, where he served as CEO and Chief Creative Officer for almost seven years.

Previously, Miller held a number of leadership positions at the Ted Baker and Ralph Lauren brands, most recently as president of Polo Ralph Lauren Retail.

His appointment at Dion Lee was confirmed by the brand’s namesake designer in a statement to industry magazine Women’s Wear Daily: “We are thrilled to have James on board to lead global brand expansion and strategic growth opportunities as we continue to grow the Dion Lee brand .”

Speaking to the media outlet, Miller also expressed excitement about the brand’s “next big chapter,” adding, “One of the exciting aspects of the business is that there is so much untapped potential, so much greenfield space.”

His appointment follows the recent launch of accessories and footwear from Dion Lee, with Miller saying he may also be looking at additional expansions in some markets, either through partnerships or standalone ventures.
