From a Ticktoker to a mega sporting or musical event they generate audiences. Talent in content development can emerge from anywhere and at any time. Today’s challenges focus on the availability of this content and its eventual monetization and, with it, the discussion regarding the expenses generated by making quality products with great scenery, editing hours and a lot of staff.
The “large content factories” have to seek, together with technology providers, one or several solutions to distribute the stock of accumulated content and the current one, taking into account that there is no longer one user in front of the TV, but there are multiple types of users versus multiple types of devices. “All operators focus on a strategy where content can be consumed on other terminals such as smartphones, tablets, Chromecast, etc,” says Antonio Rodriguez Small, jury of the PRODU awards.
The solution presented last week at the last Produ Awards was RUDO Playout, a tool that adds to the list of innovative features of RUDO OVP, the video content management platform chosen by the major media outlets in the region. A virtual Playout that allows the creation of Fast Channels through on-demand content and monetization with Dynamic Ads Insertions RTB.
“We believe that Fast Channels must be multiplatform by definition, live broadcasts are being reborn after it seemed that on-demand content had postponed them, and as creators of media solutions we must put technology at the service of content, offering new models of business and helping the media to optimize times and costs”, mentions María Sol Beldi, CEO Latam of Digitalproserver.
RUDO Playout is a RUDO OVP tool created by Digitalproserver to use content on demand that can be downloaded from any source (local files, in the cloud, social networks or own inventory) and then classify it in programmable playlists that are sent to a own CDN to get a streaming video signal. This signal can be consumed by any device, mobile, desktop, web, native apps and connected TV.
FAST signals (free ad-support streaming television) have the characteristic of being open and free to the public; Monetizable by traditional programmatic advertising models or dynamic ad insertions within the playlist, allowing both direct and RTB sales. The option of 100% automated signals was also developed, which consume video inventories from content agencies via API, automatically queuing them in a playlist, adding creatives such as videograph and broadcasting 24 hours a day.
