Digel achieves record sales in the first half of the year

The clothing supplier Digel AG achieved record sales in the first half of 2023.

With sales of almost 70 million euros, the menswear specialist has achieved the most successful first six months of a financial year in the company’s 80-year history, Digel announced on Friday. Compared to the previous year, the company based in Nagold was able to increase its turnover by 15 percent.

“If you consider that we also achieved very good numbers in the pre-orders for Autumn/Winter 23, then we can be extremely optimistic about the rest of the year,” said Digel board member Jochen Digel. “Above all, the catch-up effect for weddings and events is still a sales driver. In addition, new markets such as the USA and Spain, but also newer product groups such as shoes, are establishing themselves quickly and well.”

Digel also noted that the supply situation has eased significantly in recent months and the clothing supplier has increased its production capacity by 20 percent.

From September, Digel will be showing its new pop-up concept on the sales areas of the participating retail partners, which can be individually adapted to different brand worlds.
