It is not intended to promote the theatre, because that has long proven itself, says Schmidt. “Our goal is to put the village of Diever on the map nationally and perhaps also internationally as Shakespeare’s village.”
The foundation has asked six artists to shape an art expression inspired by Shakespeare in public space. A combination of nature and cultural history in the area and the Shakespeare theme. “We are also going to look for a collaboration with Into Nature, which is somewhat similar. Only we have the special element Shakespeare,” says Schmidt.
