In his time at De Wereld Draait Door, Lex Uiting also suffered from Dieuwke Wynia, the horror assistant of Matthijs van Nieuwkerk. “Yes, I recognize what is described in the Volkskrant.”
De Wereld Draait Door had a section called De Jakhalzen for a while. In it, reporters with a red tie traveled through the country to make reports. One of them was Janine Abbring, who abruptly left after a bizarre collision with Dieuwke Wynia. But RTL Boulevard star Lex Uiting was also one of those Jackals.
Screaming Dieuwke
Like Janine, Lex has very bad experiences with Dieuwke. The former editor-in-chief of De Wereld Draait Door plays a leading role in the Volkskrant article about the abuses in that program. She was the chief witch of the editorial office, but now suddenly plays the murdered innocence. “Yes, I recognize that tension described in de Volkskrant,” says the presenter.
He continues in RTL Boulevard: “Dieuwke also yelled at me once when I asked for an explanation why a video was not broadcast. Then it was apparently too difficult at that moment to explain calmly: ‘Lex, this and this are not right and you still have to work on that.’ No, it was immediately boom-tjak.”
One hundred percent
Most of the misery has not been given to Lex. “We made a film with the Jackals within that club, so we were not responsible for the subjects and the guests on a daily basis. We made a film, so we were a bit outside the whole fair.”
He already knew the stories from colleagues. “Of course I know many colleagues from that time with all the stories and they are 100% correct with what is in the Volkskrant today.”
