Dieter Coppens and eight people with young-onset dementia open the doors of ‘Restaurant Misverstand’ on March 16

Dieter Coppens (44) will open the doors of the new ‘Restaurant Misverstand’ on Eén from 16 March: the first restaurant in Belgium where the entire staff has been diagnosed with young-onset dementia. Because of their illness, these people regularly have to deal with misunderstanding. In addition, they are often forced to stop working, which puts a dent in their self-confidence. ‘Restaurant Misunderstanding’ wants to change that: by showing the outside world what they can still do.
