Diesel appoints new North America boss

Denim specialist Diesel has appointed Matteo Lena as the new CEO for the North America region.

Lena will take up his new position on June 5, Diesel announced on Monday. He brings 20 years of experience in the fashion and luxury industry. He previously worked for the Italian fashion house Giorgio Armani, where he was Senior Vice President Retail North America. Further stations were the clothing group Benetton and the shoe supplier Geox.

“Matteo Lena is a manager with extensive international experience and we are delighted to welcome him to Diesel,” said Diesel founder Renzo Rosso. “He will be responsible for realizing the great potential of the North American market, where Diesel has its global roots.”
