The creators of the series “Die Discounter” announced a third season on Wednesday (December 7th) and caused a stir with one piece of information in particular: whether Merlin Sandmeyer, who played viewers’ favorite Jonas, will continue to be part of the cast , is unclear.
A post was published via Instagram, in cooperation with the streaming provider “Prime Video”, which shows a chat history in the Whatsapp group “Kolinski”. According to the series, this was quite funny and (hopefully) ironic since the last slide shows the information “Merlin Sandmeyer has left the group”.

The message “Guys Season 3 is coming! We’ll continue filming in 2023!” the actors responded ironically with answers such as “Is it mandatory?”, “Do I get a fee this time?” or “I have to go to a gymnastics lesson now!” in the course of the chat, as usual. The end of the conversation is crowned by the message “Merlin Sandmeyer has left the group”, which caused excitement among the fans. One person commented, “Can someone re-send Merlin an invite link to the group?” Another, “Without Jonas, without me.”
It remains unclear whether Sandmeyer’s exit is another joke in the style of the series or actually corresponds to reality.
