Meta, the background company of Facebook, Instagram and Threads, will begin marking images that spread on its social platforms as products of artificial intelligence, if they are found to be so. Meta also plans to issue sanctions to users who post AI-generated and potentially misleading video or audio content without disclosing the artificiality of the material.
