Did you send your friend a message written on ChatGPT? We have some bad news

According to a recent study, messages written by artificial intelligence are treated differently than messages that are genuinely written by another human.

Artificial intelligence can be helpful in writing messages, but it should not be relied upon. According to a new study, communication made with the help of artificial intelligence leaves the guy feeling more insecure and less satisfied than if the message had been written entirely by himself.

This can happen especially if the friend who received the message finds out that artificial intelligence was used to write it.

– People want their partners or friends to put more effort into their messages without the help of artificial intelligence or other people, comments the assistant professor at Ohio State University and the main leader of the study Bingjie Liu in the university’s bulletin.

The study found that people perceived messages written by an imaginary friend with the help of artificial intelligence to be written with less effort than messages written entirely by the imaginary friend.

According to Liu, effort is perceived as very important in human relationships.

– Don’t use technology just because it’s easy. In human relationships, sincerity and authenticity still mean a lot, he says.

After a message written with the help of artificial intelligence, people feel less satisfied in their relationships and more insecure about the state of their relationships. In the study, the same was true for messages written with the help of another person instead of using artificial intelligence.

In other words, using a third party as a writing aid for a message to a friend is not worth it. People want to know how much effort the other person is willing to put into a friendship. The use of artificial intelligence in messaging is seen as a shortcut, and it is not considered good.

Liu’s answer is that people should do the work themselves in their own relationships.

According to the research, people find self-written messages more satisfying than messages written with the help of artificial intelligence or a third party.
