Did the win surprise Windows95man and Yle?

In Viisupod, we think about how Yle has prepared artists for rotation.

Fresh In the Viuspod episode let’s talk about the weekend’s New Music competition, the winner and the situation regarding Israel’s participation.

During this week, Windows95man has to make a decision whether he will participate in Eurovision or not.

– I would say without a word that Windows95man will not necessarily go to Eurovision, journalist Mari Pudas says.

– They have been in quite a spin, other than in terms of the Palestine issue, and then comes this pressure. And they probably didn’t believe in their victory. Henri’s (Piispanen’s) expression at the moment of victory was that what have we gone to do, says Pudas.

Pudas, producers Riikka Nyman and Mikko Räsänen pondered how Yle has prepared artists for UMK and whether there could be other reasons for the possible withdrawal than pressure from Palestinian activists. The win was so surprising.

– Windows95man said in an interview with HS that the rotation was wild. He hasn’t had time to sleep and is waiting to discuss all of this with the therapist. We’ll see, this is just the prelude, this is just the spin of the Finnish media, the whole of Europe is waiting there, says Nyman.
