Everyone suspects that the SPD membership vote could be close. Very few people expect black and red to be rejected – but nobody wants to bet on it.

The SPD leadership relies on the fact that the black-red opponents on Twitter only represent the rowdy Jusos. Because the average age of the members (52.4 years) is comparatively high.

What many who voted “No” may not have considered: if Black-Red fails, there will by no means automatically be a new edition of Red-Green-Red. Rather black and green!

The CDU does not give up its claim to the Red City Hall just because the comrades cannot stand with Kai Wegner.
