Princess Diana was interviewed by the BBC’s Panorama program in 1995. However, the news site says that they have not given Netflix permission to use that interview material in the first episode of Harry and Meghan’s documentary.

The BBC news site promised earlier this year that Princess Diana’s Panorama interview would not be shown on television.

A source inside the BBC tells The Telegraph that the company’s executives are very confused about how Netflix got access to the footage in question. According to the company’s managers, Netflix has never contacted them regarding the subject.

According to Netflix sources, all the materials used in the series have been “cleared or approved” by the lawyers, so they are allowed to use the interview in the illustration of the documentary.

Princess Diana’s interview with the BBC sparked considerable discussion after its publication. PDO

In the section where footage from the Panorama interview has been used, Prince Harry discusses his mother’s struggle with the press. Diana and her mock interview can be seen in the documentary for a total of 42 seconds.

– I think each of us knows that he was tricked into giving the Panorama interview. At the same time, he talked about his experiences with the press, Prince Harry states in the documentary.

The news site Daily Mail has tried to contact Netflix about the uproar, but have not received a response.
