Linn Svahn was not happy with Krista Pärmäkoski’s solution.
Krista Pärmäkoski made a surprising decision on Saturday. He took part in the traditional sprint qualifying and made it to the heats.
When the round of Pärmäkoski was on, there was no Finn to be seen at the starting line. He went straight to the hotel. Pärmäkoski, who skied a weak race on Friday, said already after qualifying that he is not feeling better than before. No reason has been found for the weak mood.
However, Pärmäkoski is supposed to be skied on Sunday.
In Sweden, the news was not swallowed whole. Ebba Andersson was the first skier out of the heat stage, in 31st place. However, without Pärmäkoski, he would have made it to the heat stage.
Swedish Linn Svahn was stunned by the news when he heard that Pärmäkoski left to prepare for Sunday’s normal trip. He didn’t like the solution of the Finnish racing sister.
– Really?
– I don’t think that’s fair. If he had injured himself in qualifying, that would be a different matter. But if he just went to prepare for tomorrow, he shouldn’t have skied today at all, Svahn shot For Expressen.
Svahn admitted that his opinion may be slightly colored, because the earthbound Andersson finished 31st.
– Even if the first person to qualify had been a representative of another country, they certainly wouldn’t have been happy about that. This does not seem like fair play for the sport.

Iltalehti’s expert Reijo Jylhä considered Pärmäkoski’s decision on Saturday correct. The Fis coordinator interviewed by Expressen does not know Pärmäkoski by Doris Kallen to punish for interruption.
