It will be 25 years since Princess Diana’s death in August. Diana would also have turned 61 on July 1, and Prince Harry remembered his mother at a virtual Diana Award event on Friday.

– There hasn’t been a day that I haven’t thought about the mark he left on me, my brother and all of us, Harry says, referring to Prince William.

Harry continued the charity work done by the princess, one of Diana’s most important legacies.

– I see his legacy every time I meet families, young people and children around the world. And I see my mother’s legacy in my own children every day.

Harry and Duchess Meghan have two children: 3-year-old Archie and Lilibet, who turned one in June.

In his speech, Harry also revealed one of the most important lessons Diana taught him and William. This carries the prince’s life even today.

– Speak up and fight for a better world, Harry stated and continued to feel his mother’s influence, especially in his own fatherhood and the kind of husband he is.

William also paid tribute to his mother in his letter to members of the charity.

– You are really part of my mother’s memory and I know she would be proud of all of you. I believe there is no better way to celebrate his life than by honoring the people who dedicate so much time and effort to helping others.
