With the fifth win from the past eight games in just under three weeks, the German hockey women have completed the 2022/23 ProLeague round.
Despite the 5-2 (2-0) success against the USA and the 6-0 win against the Americans a few days earlier, national coach Valentin Altenburg’s team just missed out on third place in the group of nine.
In the last competitive game before the European Championships in Mönchengladbach in August, Pauline Heinz (5th minute), Charlotte Stapenhorst (6th), Lena Micheel (42nd), Jette Fleschütz (47th) and Sara Strauss (60th) scored the goals.
In the preliminary round of the European Championship, the German women meet Scotland, England and Ireland.
