Making it to the European Championship semi-finals was worth it in several ways for Germany’s handball players.
National coach Alfred Gislason’s team is not just playing for a European Championship medal and a direct ticket to the Olympic Games in France. The advance to the semi-finals also meant direct qualification for the World Cup next year.
The 2025 World Cup will take place from January 14th to February 2nd in Croatia, Denmark and Norway. 32 teams are taking part in the highlight of the season in three countries.
