The German Football League (DFL) has published the key financial figures of all 36 professional clubs from the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 for the 2020/21 season, which was shaped by the corona virus.
Hertha BSC (77.9 million euros) and runner-up Borussia Dortmund (72.8 million euros) made the biggest loss after taxes from the German elite league.
Overall, 15 of the 18 clubs playing in the Bundesliga next season have a negative result.
Only SC Freiburg (9.8 million euros), RB Leipzig (3.7 million euros) and record champions FC Bayern Munich (2.3 million euros) achieved a positive result.
Six clubs did this in the second division: Holstein Kiel, second division promoted team 1. FC Kaiserslautern, Jahn Regensburg, SV Darmstadt 98, 1. FC Heidenheim and SV Sandhausen.
At Heidenheim and Sandhausen, the 2020/21 season was not accounted for, but the year 2021.
