DFL pushes sustainability efforts

The German Football League is stepping up its sustainability efforts.

The DFL is a partner and co-initiator of the new training program “Sustainability in sports organizations”, which enables employees of Bundesliga and second division clubs to expand their expertise in the field of sustainability with scientific support.

The program is implemented by the Leuphana University of Lüneburg and SPONSORs. The new offer follows the decision taken by the clubs to enshrine a mandatory sustainability policy in the licensing regulations. In the new training program, content is to be taught on a part-time basis.
