DFL publishes app for a barrier-free stadium experience

The German Football League (DFL) is continuing its efforts to ensure barrier-free visits to the stadium.

Together with Aktion Mensch, the DFL published a “Bundesliga travel guide app” that is intended to make the stadium experience easier for all football fans.

As the DFL announced on Wednesday, the app should be “another step towards more inclusion and equal participation of all people in sport”.

Other supporters of the app are the DFL Foundation, the Federal Disabled Fan Association (BBAG) and the club’s fan representatives responsible for people with disabilities.

The “travel guide” offers information on “arrival and departure, contact persons and places for people in wheelchairs” for all stadiums in the first to third leagues.

Furthermore, all fans should be able to use the app easily, which is why “a simplified menu navigation” and an “audio service for visually impaired and blind fans” are an integral part of the new offer.
