DFB women with Schüller, Bühl and Anyomi up front

Wolverhampton (dpa) – The German soccer players are playing their third and last international match at the Arnold Clark Cup against England with Bayern professionals Lea Schüller and Klara Bühl and Nicole Anyomi from Frankfurt in attack.

Schüller, who scored the late equalizer to make it 1-1 in the opening game against Spain and only came on in the second half of the 1-0 defeat by Canada, will replace Laura Freigang in the starting line-up.

National coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg changed her defense in two positions compared to the Canada game. Giulia Gwinn and Maximiliane Rall replace Felicitas Rauch and Sara Doorsoun in the starting XI at Wolverhampton. After Ann-Katrin Berger was in goal against Canada, goalkeeper Merle Frohms returns against England. Lena Oberdorf is not in the squad because of knee problems.

The Arnold Clark Cup is considered an important location for the European Championships taking place in England in July. Germany can only reach second place in the four-nation tournament. England could overtake leaders Spain by at least two goals if they beat Germany.
