Development project Riva in Dentergem officially started

It concerns an area of ​​four hectares, on the site of the former Riva brewery. Koenraad Degroote, Mayor of Dentergem: “The aim of the project, the connecting road, is of course in the interest of road safety. In addition, we were able to transform the former Rivasite into a zone for about 30 SMEs and 54 homes. And on the other side there will also be a project with about 40 additional homes.”

The connecting road is one kilometer long and costs about a million euros. Those works are supposed to be completed by the end of this year, but it will take a little longer for homes and SMEs. The main runway will soon be called Rivaweg. The side streets of the new site will be named after beers they used to brew there.
