The driver of a car was released this morning with a fright in an accident in Gieten. On the Verlengde Asserstraat just outside the village he bumped into a tree.
The car was heavily damaged. There are debris and glass on the road. The man was checked by paramedics just to be sure, but was not injured. However, he was arrested by the police. A police spokesperson could not say why.
