Part of the Kabouterpad in the Emmerdennen was destroyed again in a short time. And that while the previous destruction had just been repaired.
The path with a length of two kilometers, which can be found in the forest near the Laan van de Bork in the Emmerhout district, was marked out ten years ago for the youngest children and is freely accessible. Last week, volunteers saw that windows and doors of houses and clotheslines between trees had been destroyed or removed.
“Everything was just restored yesterday and now everything has been destroyed again,” the organization said on Facebook. “Now also the tree trunk in the beginning. Fortunately, the other tree trunks are still there. The Kabouterpad will therefore be less visible in the coming days than you are used to. Unfortunately, a few people are able to destroy it for these children.”
The organization emphasizes that the costs of recovery will increase. “If the perpetrators are caught, they can compensate that.”
