Despite high viewing figures, Carlo Boszhard is criticized: ‘Shut up’

As a jury member of The Masked Singer, Carlo Boszhard makes a substantial contribution to the success of the program, but there is also criticism of his mouth that falls open every five minutes.

Season 4 of The Masked Singer is in full swing. The premiere scored very well last week with a score of more than 2.2 million viewers (41 percent market share) and the second episode is not much lower than that. Last night almost 2.2 million people (39 percent) sat in front of the tube to watch the television hit.

Open mouth

Despite the high viewing figures, The Masked Singer is not only acclaimed. For example, there is criticism of jury member Carlo Boszhard, who sits in the stands with an open mouth every five minutes. Story boss Guido den Aantrekker thinks it’s a bit exaggerated. “The invariably acted open mouth of bewilderment”, he bits.

It is not the first time that Carlo has been criticized for his open mouth, because last year he already received a big sneer about it from Marcel van Roosmalen. Carlo was not impressed by that: “Yes, you also need grumpy smurfs, so I don’t mind at all.”

crushing

Viewing figures expert Tina Nijkamp woke up this morning with Carlo’s face. She watched The Masked Singer’s scores with open mouth. “The Masked Singer’s target audience figures are overwhelming: in 20 to 54 years, the program has achieved a whopping 53.9 percent market share. A whopping 74.2 percent in 6 to 12 years,” she writes.

This is really very clever, explains Tina. “Based on the viewing figures, this program definitely deserves De Televizier-Ring next year.”

Shocking

According to Tina, RTL 4 lets the competition smell a poopie. “The comparison with other channels is shocking, the masks are so predominant: in 20 to 54 years, NPO 1 with Droomhuis Gezocht only scores 8.5 percent and Andy & Melisa on SBS 6 only 3.9 percent. It’s been a long time since a program wiped out the competition like that.”

In absolute numbers, NPO 2’s Twee voor Twelf (1.1 million and 19 percent), NPO 1’s Droomhuis Gezocht (843 thousand and 15 percent) and SBS 6’s Today Inside (775 thousand and 16 percent) were the other top-grossing titles in prime time. .
