Despite concerns after a serious car accident, Tiger Woods has a good start to The Masters | Sport

Woods, 46, recorded three birdies and two bogeys on his return to Augusta. He concluded his round on the eighteenth hole with a par and looked quite pleased with his performance. His three birdies were greeted loudly by the thousands of fans who had gathered around the holes to catch a glimpse of Woods.

Woods was concerned about his mobility in the run-up to his return, but he appeared to be in little pain. He seemed to have more trouble kneeling. Woods was in a serious car accident more than 13 months ago and suffered serious injuries to his right leg.

In the weeks leading up to The Masters, Woods caused a stir by showing up at Augusta. Tuesday confirmed that he would in principle make his comeback.
