Ventilus will be the 85 kilometer long new high-voltage line that will bring electricity from the future new wind farms at sea to inland. The Flemish government provisionally established the Regional Spatial Implementation Plan (GRUP) in July last year. This was followed by a public inquiry, which lasted until October. This resulted in 3,550 responses.
The government has now re-approved the GRUP, with only limited technical changes. Most consultation responses contained questions about the compensation policy, Demir said. The file will now go to the Council of State for final approval at the beginning of March.
