The annual sports gala, Idrottsgala, was organized in Sweden on Monday evening. On the red carpet, eyes were fixed on the ME man of pole vaulting to Armand Duplantis and Desiré to England.
A moment later, however, Duplantis stood alone on the red carpet. Aftonbladet caught the pole vault star for an interview.
– Where did Desiré go? the reporter asked.
– I do not know. That’s a good question, “Mondo” replied.
– Did you lose him?
– Well, I have his phone number. I think I’ll find him easily, Duplantis grinned.
– But this wasn’t a very good start to the evening, he laughed afterwards.
The couple beamed on the red carpet before Inglander disappeared backstage. The Englishman was wearing a white silk dress. Duplantis, on the other hand, wore a double-breasted, dark blue suit.

The supreme leader of his sport improved his ME readings by a cent this year. Duplantis crossed the bar at a height of 622 last February in Clermont-Ferrand. In addition, he celebrated the world championship in the summer in Budapest.
Duplantis was nominated for the Jerringpris award this year as well. The prize in question is awarded to the best athlete of the year. The winner will be decided by public vote.
