A presentation in honor of the label and the designer was originally planned, but due to the deteriorating health situation in the had to be postponed in June.
The trade fair organizer Pitti Immagine has now announced that the Belgian designer is preparing the project herself. To do this, Demeulemeester goes into the archives of the brand, according to Lapo Cianchi, Director of Communications and Events at Pitti Immagine.
“Finally, Florence and Pitti Immagine are ready to honor Ann Demeulemeester’s extraordinary work,” says Cianchi.
Demeulemeester launched her eponymous label in 1987, along with her creative partner Patrick Robyn.
