The design duo behind the Ester Manas brand will design for AZ Factory, the fashion house of the late designer Alber Elbaz. Ester Manas and Balthazar Delepierre are the next “amigos” invited by the brand to design a collection for the fashion house, AZ Factory announced on Thursday. The collection will be launched in June and hit stores in the fall. Further details are not yet known.
AZ Factory unveiled its strategy for the fashion house earlier this year after founder and creative director Alber Elbaz passed away. The strategy sees the brand working with rotating talent, whom the fashion house describes as ‘creative talent’ who believe in the vision and spirit of the founder. The first guest designer was Thebe Magugu, and now Ester Manas brand designers are following suit.
The Ester Manas brand has won several awards and follows the credo “one size fits all”. The brand was shortlisted for the LVMH Prize, won the H&M Design Prize and won the Galeries Lafayette Prize at the Hyères Festival.
