Robert ten Brink would be ‘ashamed of his eyes’ if he were Derk Bolt. He finds it incredibly embarrassing that his Spoorloos program has failed so badly. “Imagine it happening to you, huh?”
The TV classic Spoorloos by presenter Derk Bolt is under heavy fire because of all kinds of cheating reunions, which have come to light through research by Kees van der Spek. Kees’s findings are not taken very seriously by Derk. He seems to find it all but irritating that people criticize his program.
Eyes out of head
However, Robert ten Brink thinks that Derk has enough to be ashamed of. “Yes, I immediately think: these are only the cases that are known. If you’ve ever participated in this and you’re reunited, then you’re going to have your doubts and then you’ll also think: but what about me? This is huge”, he says at the table at Jinek.
The presenter of All You Need Is Love continues: “For the program… I would be ashamed of my eyes, of course. Imagine if it happened to you, huh?”

Robert himself also reunites people in his program All You Need Is Love, but they already know each other. “We just know where we are going, of course. Yesterday in Spoorloos, Derk came back to the revelations about the cheating reunifications. In it, he again downplays the issue by emphasizing that it went wrong “a few times,” as if a margin of error in this program is acceptable.
On the defensive
Royce de Vries, the son of Peter R. de Vries who also sat at the table at Jinek, is disappointed in Derk. “I would have liked him to have said that to Khalid & Sophie right away in the broadcast. “
