Netflix in August: upcoming series and movies

The long-awaited docuseries Depp versus Heard And arrived on Netflix. Three episodes of 47, 48 and 50 minutes that focus on defamation lawsuit that the plaintiff filed and won against his ex-wife and colleague.

The Amber and Johnny story

Born as a fairy tale and ended in tragedy, the marriage between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard was short and troubled. The two met in 2009 on the set of The Rum Diary and they started dating. Several years later, in 2014, the engagement ring arrived, in 2015 the wedding.

Only a few months later, however, the couple entered a crisis profound giving rise to a legal battle destined to last longer than their relationship and which ended only in June 2022 with Heard sentenced for an editorial published in the Washington Post in which the actress presented herself as a symbol of violence against women.

Depp against Heard, the trial (also in the media)

During the process social media activity has generated millions of dollarsin a network of content, memes and live on platforms such as TikTok or YouTube, where nothing else was talked about in various ways: consultants, fan clubs, budding lawyers, creators, hoaxers, comedians, etc.

Not only does the trial become a show but the surround itself, the media that deal with the trial, behave according to the modalities of the show. The frame is more important than the painting. For those who love trials and the carnival of social networks.
