‘Deployment’ Anzegem pushes Groen co-chairman Jeremie…

Vaneeckhout also wants a financially healthy Anzegem and is in favor of a merger with other municipalities. He wants to take responsibility for keeping Anzegem strong and independent: “The challenges for our municipality are enormous. We have to take important steps in the areas of road safety, sustainability and poverty. Our residents need a policy that supports them.”

Groen is not yet announcing any Flemish or federal party leaders. Vaneeckhout does not see the fact that West Flemish leader and vote-puller Wouter De Vriendt is dropping out of national politics as a problem in the field of political leadership in West Flanders. “For the first time in the party’s history there is a West Flemish co-chairman and I have seen a whole generation of new, young talented people emerge in recent years,” he says.

In the coming months, ‘Bezet’ will present its complete list. On December 9, Groen will present her lists at a party conference.
