Depeche Mode on “Memento Mori” tour: 1st setlist surprise

How surprising is the setlist on the “Memento Mori” tour? Depeche Mode fans have been asking this question since the concert tour started in Sacramento.

On Tuesday (March 28) there was a trip to Inglewood, California, where the band played the third gig of their tour at the Kia Forum. And for the first time there was a variation of the song sequence: “Waiting For The Night” was dropped, instead Martin Gore and Dave Gahan sang “Condemnation” as a duet in an acoustic version.

The piece was last played in 2013, Gahan even sang it for the last time 22 years ago, in 2001. Depeche Mode are currently playing 23 songs on tour, five of which are from the new LP “Memento Mori”. During “World In My Eyes” the Brits remember their late colleague Andy Fletcher.
