Depeche Mode will be playing live in Munich on June 20th. All information about the concert can be found here.

On Tuesday (June 20) Depeche Mode can be seen live in Germany again: After sold-out concerts in Leipzig and Düsseldorf, the Munich Olympic Park is now on the schedule.

In 1982, more than 40 years ago, Depeche Mode played in Munich for the first time. At that time, the band around Dave Gahan and Martin Gore performed in front of a few thousand people in the Alabamahalle. Now, 41 years and 15 studio albums later, they will fill the huge Olympic Stadium in Munich. The show begins at 7:45 p.m. Admission is at 5 p.m.

The Olympic Stadium can be easily reached with the subway line U3 in the direction of Moosach. It is about a ten-minute walk from the Olympiazentrum stop to the Olympiapark.

Alternatively, tram lines 20 and 21 (stop: Olympiapark West) and 27 (stop: Petuelring) go to the stadium. The walk here is five minutes.

You can reach the Olympic Park by bus with city bus lines 144 (bus stops: Spiridon-Louis-Ring, Olympiasee, Olympiaberg), 173 (bus stops: Olympiazentrum, Olympia-Eissportzentrum, Petuelring), and with lines 177 and 178 (bus stop: Petuelring).

If you want to travel by S-Bahn, take lines S1 or S8 to the Moosach stop and change to the U3 there.

Park

The Olympic Park can be reached by car from the north via the A9 (exit 76 Munich-Schwabingen) and from the west via the A8 (then continue on the A99 to exit 10 Munich-Ludwigsfeld).

The parking deck at the Olympic Tower has 400 parking spaces and is a 15-minute walk from the stadium. The Parkharfe Olympiapark offers space for 3,900 cars, from there it is a 20-minute walk to the stadium. Another 110 parking spaces are available at the Olympic Ice Sports Center. From here, concertgoers have to plan a walk of about 20 minutes.

Weather

It will be very hot in Munich just in time for the show – with temperatures up to 32 degrees. At night the temperatures can then rise again 16 degrees fall.
