All information about the first DM Germany concert of the “Memento Mori” tour can be found here.
Depeche Mode are currently on tour with their record “Memento Mori”, which was released on March 24, 2023. On Friday, May 26, the English make a stop in Leipzig for a concert at the Festwiese – the first stop of their German tour. A memorable performance for fans and band alike, as the date falls on the first anniversary of the death of former keyboardist Andy Fletcher.
Information about the tickets
The tickets for the first Germany concert of the “Memento Mori” tour are divided into three categories: Front of Stage 1, Front of Stage 2 and standing room. The difference lies in the distance to the stage. The closer fans want to be to Dave Gahan and Martin Gore, the deeper they have to dig into their pockets. The price range is between €95 and €125. So-called platinum tickets can also be purchased for a surcharge of around €50, but it is not entirely clear on the ticket seller’s website what advantages they include. The admission ticket also serves as a ticket for Leipzig’s local public transport system. Four hours before and after the concert you can use the offer of the Central German Transport Association, it says on the German Depeche Mode website.
Admission, process and opening act
The gates of the Festwiese will open for you at 5 p.m. If that is too late for you, you can register for early entry from 12 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. Support band, US dark wave group Cold Cave, open the show at 7.45pm. At 8.45 p.m. we continue with Depeche Mode.
arrival
The Festwiese offers only limited parking, which is why the organizers advise visitors who rely on their cars to switch to the surrounding Park&Ride car parks. We recommend the “Leipziger Messe”, “Schönauer Ring”, “Plovider Straße”, “Lausen” and “Völkerschlachtdenkmal” car parks. From there, the Festwiese can be reached by tram.
If you are traveling by public transport, it is best to take tram lines 3, 7, 8 and 15 and get off at the “Waldplatz” or “Sportforum” stop. If you arrive by train, you can reach the site from the main station with lines 3 and 15. The special tram line 56, which runs between the exhibition center and Sportforum Süd, will also be set up for the concert. Line 15 will be reinforced with additional journeys.
