Depeche Mode still have a rock in the board in Germany – and that also applies to buyers of records. Their new album “Memento Mori” shot up to number one in the vinyl album charts within a very short time.
According to Gfk Entertainment, which compiles the weekly sales list, Dave Gahan and Martin Gore left Lana Del Rey (“Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd” at number two), U2 (“Songs Of Surrender”, number three) and Herbert Grönemeyer (“That’s going on”, on the five) behind him.
Thanks to the anniversary edition of “The Dark Side Of The Moon”, Pink Floyd is also among the five best-selling vinyl records. The Special Edition came in fourth.
