On Tuesday evening (June 6th) Depeche Mode played their second concert in the Düsseldorf Arena. The British band around frontman Dave Gahan already performed in the Merkur Spiel-Arena on Sunday.
Depeche Mode’s second gig also filled the stadium – a total of 90,000 fans attended the concert on Tuesday. In addition to new songs from the current album “Memento Mori”, there were of course also classics such as “Enjoy the Silence” to be heard, and the evening ended with “Personal Jesus”.
There were three changes to the setlist compared to Sunday’s concert: “My Favorite Stranger” replaced “Speak To Me”, “A Question of Lust” was replaced with “Home” and “Condemnation” replaced “Waiting For The Night”.

The Depeche Mode concert in Düsseldorf was the 20th concert on their world tour. The group had their first appearance in the North Rhine-Westphalian capital during the “Construction Time Again” tour in 1983 in front of 7,500 spectators. Next, Depeche Mode will play concerts in Munich (June 20th), Frankfurt (June 29th & July 1st) and in the Berlin Olympic Stadium (July 7th – July 6th).
