Ajax player Zakaria Labyad suffered a serious knee injury last week and will no longer be in action this season. It was previously announced that his expiring contract with Ajax would not be extended.
“I will have surgery soon and then I will work hard on my recovery. I hope to return to the fields as soon as possible,” Labyad said.
In 2018, the footballer came over from FC Utrecht. The attacking midfielder never managed to break through at Ajax. He played 54 official games and managed to find the net thirteen times.
