Department stores and hotels in Spain will soon not be allowed to turn heating higher than 19 degrees

The Spanish Council of Ministers on Monday laid down rules for air conditioning and heating in, among other things, department stores, cinemas, hotels and stations and airports. In these public places, the heating should not exceed 19 degrees in winter, and in summer the minimum limit for air conditioning is 27 degrees, Teresa Ribera, Minister for the Ecological Transition, announced Monday evening. The measures are being taken to meet the lower supply of Russian gas to Europe.
