Muscle injury in the thigh

TSG 1899 Hoffenheim will once again be without midfielder Dennis Geiger. The 25-year-old suffered a muscle injury in his thigh during the 2-1 win against Werder Bremen and will be out for several weeks, the Bundesliga club announced on Monday.
Geiger had only made his comeback after a nine-month injury break on the Bundesliga match day before last in Kraichgauer’s 3-2 win at Borussia Dortmund. On Sunday he came on as a substitute in the 65th minute, but had to be replaced again after a good 20 minutes and left the field visibly bruised. “This is very bitter and emotional for the boy. But he will get through this too. I’m absolutely sure of that. Dennis is a fighter, will come back stronger and then show his performance on the pitch again,” TSG head coach Pellegrino Matarazzo said immediately after the game.
