National motorcyclist Deniz Öncü completed the Spanish Grand Prix, the fourth leg of the 2023 World Moto3 Championship, in 9th place. The fourth race of the season was held on the 4.42 km long Jerez Circuit. Competing with the Red Bull KTM Ajo team in the Moto3 class, Deniz Öncü started the 19-lap race from the first row.
Deniz Öncü, who saw the checkered flag in the 8th place, was given a three-second time penalty after the race for violation of the track limit and regressed to the 9th place.
Ivan Ortola, the Spanish driver of the Angeluss MTA team, which came first in his country, won his second race in a row. Colombian David Alonso from the Gaviota GASGAS Aspar M3 team took second place, and Spain’s Jaume Masia from the Leopard Racing team took the third place.
