Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen were once a famous couple. PDO

Cast Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen were married from 2002 to 2006. The two were once known as one of Hollywood’s most followed couples, but they have remained in the headlines even after their divorce, mainly due to their contentious relationship and custody disputes.

Now 16 years later, in a new episode of the Divorced Not Dead podcast, Richards reveals what led to the demise of the union.

– The things that happened behind the scenes were much worse than those that ended up in the public eye.

Richards tried to keep up appearances for a long time, but he wasn’t really happy at home. Things got better for a while after Richards got pregnant, but eventually Richards ended up filing for divorce while she was still pregnant. She found herself thinking about the kind of example she was setting for her daughters.

– I asked myself if I would want my own daughters to be married to such a man.

However, the decision was by no means easy.

– I felt guilty for breaking our nuclear family. I struggled with it for years.

However, Richards does not regret her marriage to Sheen. He thinks that the union had to happen so that the daughters Lola and The same originated.

Currently, Richards and Sheen are on speaking terms. Richard says Sheen can call him anytime. The ex-husband’s actions no longer bother Richards. Richards hopes he’ll just be a good father to his daughters.

Sheen has five children with three different women. In addition to Lola and Sam, Richards has an 11-year-old Eloise-daughter. Richards adopted Eloise as a baby.
