Demonstrating farmers blocked several border crossings into Belgium late on Thursday evening. All three highways between Brabant and the Belgian border are currently closed. Photos show how the roads there in both directions are full of tractors.
With the demonstrations, the farmers are joining their colleagues, who have been demonstrating in Brussels all day. An EU summit will take place there, where rules for agricultural policy will also be discussed. Things got out of hand during the demonstrations in the Belgian capital on Thursday.
