A stylist contest (more or less barrio) is faced with the fact that one of them has been murdered in a rather gruesome way. From there, the film tells the story of a complete communitywith its ups and downs, always in a tone of humor that refers a bit to class B but, in general, moves away from “police” to dive more into a kind of costumbrismo.
The rule is to paint the village to make it universal, and for that everything is filmed in what appears to be a single shot without cuts: the camera dives between the characters to stop at what is relevant to that world much more than to the “mystery”. which works as an excuse.
A original movie not so much because of the formal choices (which are also formal) but because of the combination of them to generate a bond with the viewer. Of the kind of films that are released less and less frequently because – it must be said – they are also made less frequently.
