The American airline Delta Airlines has suspended cooperation with the Russian Aeroflot due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, writes Politico with reference to the official representative of the company.
Delta has withdrawn its codeshare agreement with Aeroflot. It allowed airlines to operate codeshare flights, passengers could buy a ticket from one company and fly on another plane.
“We have removed our code from Aeroflot services that it operates outside of Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport, and have removed the Aeroflot code from Delta flights at the International Airport. John F. Kennedy in New York, ”explained a representative of the American airline.

After the start of Russia’s military operation in Ukraine, the Czech Republic and Poland banned aircraft from Russia from using their airspace. The Russian company S7 Airlines has canceled all flights to Europe from February 26 to March 13. These are flights to Burgas, Varna, Munich, Vienna, Dusseldorf, Berlin, Verona, Bologna, Milan, Alicante, Barcelona, Larnaca, Paphos, Thessaloniki, Nice and Paris. Ticket sales for these destinations are temporarily suspended after March 13. Passengers were offered to issue a full refund of the ticket price.
