A 36-year-old resident of Delden intervened quickly on Sunday when another bather got into trouble in the middle of the deep bath at De Mors swimming pool.
The Deldenaar heard a friend of the man in need calling for help and did not hesitate for a moment. He managed to bring the man in question safely to the shore. The drowning man escaped unharmed. The man did not require further medical assistance.
The pool staff of swimming pool De Mors is happy with the resolute intervention of Deldenaar. Bart Schurink, head of teaching affairs at De Mors: “The man clearly had experience with rescue swimming and intervened well. It also saved us a lot of money.
