There was enormous traffic on the A2 highway from Den Bosch in the direction of Utrecht on Thursday morning. Traffic formed a traffic jam of 13 kilometers between the Hintham junction and Waardenburg in Gelderse. According to the ANWB, the delays are now rapidly decreasing.
Just before half past eight it was reported that the A2 was free again.
The delay was more than two and a half hours by 8 a.m. The cause of the delay was an accident involving several cars near Zaltbommel. This resulted in two lanes being crossed.
Traffic in the direction of Tiel and Utrecht was advised to drive via Waalwijk (A59, A27 and A15).
