The manifesto of this series depicts the head of the same author, Guillermo del Toro, divided in half. On the right you can see the closet shelves that contain items (or better, clues to the various episodes). Un animal skull, a key with the number 36, a restless mouse, a tube from which a mysterious purple liquid comes out, an ancient syringe, a wooden bird, bottles of three different colors. Finally, a tentacle wraps around the director’s neck. There are eight objects that characterize the eight episodes of the series.
This series has the ambition to present itself as an unprecedented collection of stories, which means define an entire genre, challenging the traditional idea of horror.
