The Kölner Haie celebrated their second win of the season in the German Ice Hockey League.
Coach Uwe Krupp’s team won 3-2 (2-0, 0-1, 0-1, 1-0) after extra time against the Wolfsburg Grizzlies on Wednesday evening and remains undefeated in front of their home crowd.
The Wolfsburg are still waiting for the first success of the season.
Jonathan Matsumoto (4th) gave the hosts an early lead. Andreas Thuresson (15th) increased the lead to 2-0 in the first third.
In the second half, Wolfsburg fought back through Laurin Braun (32′), Dustin Jeffrey (56′) equalized in the meantime.
Louis-Marc Aubry secured victory for the Haie after 31 seconds in overtime.
